Marcus Harden | BSc (Hon) Geology

Chief Geologist

Mr. Harden graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a first class honours degree in Geology. He has extensive mineral exploration experience throughout Australia, West Africa and elsewhere overseas with both junior explorers and major mining companies exploring for a variety of commodities including gold, base metals, platinum group elements and rare earth elements. Mr. Harden has been involved in taking two projects from exploration through to mine construction stage. He was previously the Principal Geologist for First Quantum Minerals in West Africa and prior to this was with Gryphon Minerals working on the Banfora project located in Burkina Faso, West Africa.

Travis Schwertfeger | BSc, MSc, MAIG

Managing Director

Mr. Schwertfeger has over twenty years global industry experience as a geologist with positions in exploration, production, geology, business development and project valuation. He previously held senior technical roles with Newmont Mining Corporation and has worked on projects located in South America, West Africa and Australia with similar deposit style as the highly prospective Arakaka and Ianna Gold Projects. Mr. Schwertfeger also has extensive corporate and management experience in both ASX and TSX-V listed mineral resource companies through previous Managing Director/CEO and corporate VP roles.

Jamie Byrde

CFO & Company Secretary

Mr. Byrde is a Chartered Accountant with over 13 years’ experience industry experience encompassing accounting, company secretarial, and corporate advisory. Previously Mr. Byrde held Financial Controller and Corporate Advisory positions specialising in Financial Accounting and Reporting as well as ASX/ASIC compliance across a broad range of ASX and private companies. Mr. Byrde is also currently Company Secretary for Venture Minerals Limited and Blackstone Minerals Limited.

Martin Tuffour | MSc Geology

Project Geologist

Mr. Tuffour completed a degree in Geological Engineering from the KNUST School of Mines of Tarkwa/Kumasi Ghana in 2001 and his Masters in Geology at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Mr. Tuffour has an extensive exploration and research background in multiple base and precious metal commodities ranging from early stage exploration through to mine production roles, including experience at the Obuasi, Prestea/Bogoso and Wassa mines in Ghana, where the Wassa mine has an analogous stratigraphic section to the Arakaka and Ianna Gold project area

Roy Bassoo | MSc Earth Sciences

Project Geologist

Mr. Bassoo graduated from McMaster University with Honours in 2010 and completed his Master of Science at Saint Francis Xavier University in 2016 following a thesis on the structural and geochemical controls of the 9 Mile gold deposit in the Guiana Shield. Mr. Bassoo has a strong background and practical experience in field mapping, sampling and working in remote locations.
